Withdrawing Adsense Earnimgs Through Western Union

Adsense introduced a new payment method to some countries, including Malaysia, where you can receive your Adsense income through Western Union. Since I couldn’t spare any time to really look into it then, I set my Adsense payment to on hold. Somewhere in December 2007, after going through Inside Adsense again, I reset my on hold setting and setup to receive my payment through Western Union. After that, withdrawing money from Adsense is just plain simple.

If you opt Western Union Quick Cash, payments will be available for pickup at your local Western Union agent the day after they are issued. Cool! You no longer need to wait for the check to arrive. No more international check’s fees and no more waiting for the check to clear. Bank fees can sometimes eat your earnings especially those that charge by percentage.

How To Setup Adsense for Western Union payment?

It’s very simple:

• Login to Adsense.
• Go to ‘My Account’ > ‘Account Settings’ > ‘Payment Details’ and clik on ‘Edit’.
• You will be taken to the screen below. Click on the ‘Setup Western Union Quick Cash’ radio button and click ‘Continue’.



• At the confirmation page, make sure that the payee name is correct and click ‘Save Changes’. Please make sure that the name on your account matches the one in your MyKad/id, you’ll need that to pick up the money. Just in case it isn’t, you can always request the Adsense team to change it for you.



• Just wait for Adsense to release your payment and you are ready to withdraw the money.

How To Withdraw Money from Western Union?
In Malaysia, you can withdraw at CIMB, RHB and Pos Malaysia, but before you proceed to the nearest branch, it wise to call up or check their websites whether withdrawal can be made at that branch or not. You will also need these information:

• Your 10 digit Material Transfer Control No (MTCN)
• Your MyKad (at Pos Malaysia, you will need to attach a photocopy, not sure about whether the banks required or not)
• The amount to be received and
• Google’s address.

The Withdrawing Process

• Login to Adsense again.
• Go to ‘My Account’ > ‘Payment History’ and click on the latest ‘Payment Issued - details’.



• Click on ‘Statement of Earnings’, print that and you have all the information you need to fill in the withdrawal form.
• Go to the nearest Pos Malaysia and in the next 30 minutes, you will have more money in your pocket.

The money will only be available for 35 days at Western Union, but don’t worry, payment will be credited back to your Adsense account in case you’re busy and forgot to withdraw.

The process at Pos Malaysia was fast, other the the time taken to fill in the form and get my MyKad photocopied, it only took me 10 minutes to get my money. I prefer Pos Malaysia than banks due to the reason that the service is always fast and they are open on Sunday.

Now, that’s a reason to smile
