Invalid clicks in Bidvertiser

For several months now, Bidvertiser is becoming a good complement to Google Adsense as a money-making program. During our first month, we earned $33.15 from Bidvertiser and every month since then, we average $40-50 a month.

Another good thing about Bidvertiser is that they warn you about invalid clicks — user clicks that are not credited to you — so that you can find ways to prevent these from happening.

Google Adsense, on the other hand, does send email warnings about invalid clicks too but their emails are sometimes too vague and there are even instances when they simply terminate a publisher’s account without letting the publisher explain his side.

A few weeks ago, Bidvertiser sent us an email warning about invalid clicks on the site. Here’s a copy of that email.

We have recently detected invalid clicks generated on your BidVertiser ads. The invalid clicks were generated from the following IP(s):

203.190.81.30 , 203.177.74.136 , 122.3.205.126 , 122.2.82.192 , 124.104.78.74 , 119.95.142.240 , 222.127.223.70 , 58.69.161.68 , 202.147.25.202 , 65.222.180.15 , 12.210.114.233 , 121.54.70.3 , 122.55.51.100

The listed IP(s) are now blocked in our system, however, we ask that you take any necessary actions to avoid generating any further invalid clicks this way.

Please understand that we are obligated for a certain level of quality in order to provide the most qualified and targeted traffic to our advertisers. Unfortunately, so far the clicks generated by your ad fail to follow these standards.

Let me start by saying those IPs are not my IP addresses (which means I don’t click on my own ads!). I investigated those IPs and they seem to be legitimate home IP addresses. I don’t know, though, why those clicks were considered invalid.

In any case, that’s one advantage of Bidvertiser over Adsense. Bidvertiser sends specific email warnings unlike Google Adsense’s that sometimes are too generic. The good thing, however, is that despite those IPs being blocked, we continue to earn a decent income from Bidvertiser every month.
